Ghana, once known as the “Gold Coast” is situated in the very heart of West Africa. The country’s growing tourist industry has much to offer visitors with its colourful and vibrant culture. The country has a turbulent history. Numerous slave forts have been left standing on the beautiful beaches on the country’s coastline, to remind visitor of its grim past.

The aim of our trips to Ghana focuses on discovering its avian riches and exciting selection of Upper Guineas forest endemic birds. One very special species is the strange and bizarre White-necked Rockfowl, also known as the Yellow-headed Picathartes.
